Will introduce the student to the principles of small animal clinical nutrition. They will explore the vital role that nutrition plays in wellness and in disease management. This is accomplished through a lecture series given by the instructor and invited industry representatives, assigned case studies and nutrition project. At the end of the elective, students will present their assigned cases and completed projects to the group. Restriction(s): Successful completion of Year 2 of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program. Note: This course will be an elective in Year 3.
